Taylor

Taylor, a Williamson County city, is located about 25 miles northeast of the Austin and just east of Hutto. Taylor was founded in 1876 and has as many as 80 historic buildings in its downtown area. According to the 2023 U.S. Census population estimate the city is home to 17,337 people. It is also the future home of a large Samsung manufacturing facility.

The mission of the City of Taylor Office of Emergency Management is to provide the means for citizens to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate disasters that would affect lives and property. Taylor OEM uses the CAPCOG regional notification system to notify residents about specific emergencies that would affect its residents.
