The Mission of the Cedar Park Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HSEM) is to lessen the loss of life and reduce injuries and property damage during natural or man-made incidents through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery in accordance with the Williamson County Emergency Operations Plan. HSEM also coordinates the activities for the City’s Emergency Operations Center.
Cedar Park HSEM uses the CAPCOG Regional Notification System to notify residents about specific emergencies and community information. Cellphone users must register at WarnCentralTexas.org or CPAlertMe.com to receive the notification system’s messages by phone, email and text. For the most up-to-date information about the City of Cedar Park operations, monitor the city’s social media on Twitter, @CedarParkTX, or Facebook, facebook.com/cityofcedarparktexas. Additionally, updates will be posted on the city’s website at Cedarparktexas.gov. City disaster recovery information will be posted online and also will be available on the city municipal television station, CPTV-10, Time Warner channel 10.110 and AT&T U-verse channel 99.

The Capital Area Council of Governments and its partners are pleased to offer an emergency notification system to residents of Central Texas. Messages sent through the RNS are generated by the local jurisdictions participating in this program. CAPCOG does not send messages to residents.
