Burnet

Burnet is the county seat of Burnet County, Texas. Its city population was estimated at 6,869, according to the 2025 Census estimate.
The city and county were named after David Gouverneur Burnet, the first (provisional) president of the Republic of Texas. He also served as Vice President during the administration of Mirabeau B. Lamar.
