The City of Marble Falls is located in the Texas Hill Country 48 miles northwest of Austin and 75 miles north of San Antonio. The city lies on Lake Marble Falls and is in the middle of the Highland Lakes, the largest chain of lakes in Texas. The estimated population of Marble Falls is 6,128 and also has a large tourist populace.

The mission of the City of Marble Falls Office Emergency Management (OEM) is to build and improve the capability of the citizens to reduce the risks from natural or man-made disasters and coordinate responses to these events.

Marble Falls OEM uses the CAPCOG Regional Notification System to notify residents about specific emergencies and community information.
