Dripping Springs

Dripping Springs seal, a star with a wreath around.The City of Dripping Springs is located in the northwest part of Hays County and has a population of about 3,200 people. However, when considering the city’s extra territorial jurisdiction, the population is 30,000 plus people.

Dripping Springs emergency operations are under the auspices of the Hays County Office of Emergency Services (OES), which provides for the safety of Hays County residents through emergency preparedness and response. Dripping Springs and Hays County use the CAPCOG Regional Notification System to notify residents about specific emergencies. Cellphone users must register their phones at WarnCentralTexas.org to receive those messages by phone, email and/or text. Information regarding emergencies is also distributed through HaysInformed.com and on the city’s website, cityofdrippingsprings.com. The city also disseminates information on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/cityofdsemergencymanagement/,  and Twitter, @DS_EMC. Dripping Springs does not monitor social media posts. Residents who need emergency assistance should call 911 and should not post requests to Dripping Springs’ social media accounts.
